About Kirsten
My name is Kirsten, and I believe that everyone has the ability to succeed. I understand how difficult languages can be, sometimes it can just be a bunch of gibberish!! But, with the right attitude, I believe that you can become excellent in understanding French. My main aim in tutoring is not only to further my understanding of the language (every day is a learning day), but also to help you to appreciate other cultures and languages. I have lots of tips and tricks to help immerse yourself in the language, there is no doubt that with me you will genuinely have fun learning French! :-)

At the start of your lesson, we will have a discussion about your current understanding of French, what you might need help with etc. Then, the other lessons we have together will start with a 10 minute recap! From there, we will do immersive activities that aid in understanding the grammar and vocabulary of French. I believe that positive reinforcement and encouragement is also vital, so my lessons will be filled with optimism and positivity surrounding the learning. As I am currently an A-Level student, these lessons would be most beneficial for primary school children, and GCSE students. I am most familiar with the AQA mark scheme, but can help with any exam board. At the end of the day, I am here to help YOU achieve, so lessons can be as long or as short as you feel fit. Typically, it may work best to do 1 hour per week. I’m very good with younger people, and have helped my peers with their French massively. In GCSE, I got a grade 7 in French, roughly equivalent to an A!
