About Dustin
I have bachelor's degree in English education and a master's degree in Applied Linguistics with a focus on ESL. What this means is that I am student of language and how to teach it. I have also worked as a professional SEO writer, so I know how to teach anything from high school English to professional English.

I have been designing my own curriculum since I first started teaching. In the last 11 years, I have worked with same group of teacher from one year to the next only once. What this means is that I could not simply teach the same lessons over and over from year to year. From one year to the next, I never knew what to expect, so I learned to do pretests, design lesson to address my students needs, then assess my students progress to help them master standards. With this approach I have consistently maintained an average of students scoring proficient or advanced on state test and the ACT that was above state and national averages. I can help my students turn weakness in reading or writing into a strength.
