About Gayno
I am an ambitious, hardworking Legal Intern at Theewaterskloof Municipality, who continuously seeks to develop herself. I obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of Western Cape in 2021. Whereafter, I volunteered at Dixon-September Attorneys Inc. as a law graduate. My Legal Internship at the Municipality commenced in March 2022, where I am gaining greater insight into the field of law and the necessary practical experience.
The Afrikaans language is one of South Africa's official languages and a large proportion of the local population uses it as their first or second language. It is still taught in schools. Afrikaans has a fascinating history of its own, and a heritage and culture that are deeply entwined in its character. Therefore, I am extremely passionate about the language, and even more excited to share my passion with my future students.

I believe that learning should be approached with a playful, fun state of mind, make mistakes, and try to really live the language. Just like with anything, making a habit out of it certainly helps. I have also learnt that telling age-appropriate puns foster good humour and creativity in students. This also encourage vocabulary development and communication skills.
