About Maddy
I have been a P.A.L.S program teacher at the prestigious Aspen Music Festival (AMFS), where I was also a student studying there. I currently hold a Bachelor's of Music Performance in Violin from Florida State University’s College of Music and currently am studying at the DePaul School of Music in Chicago, obtaining my master's degree. I won my first orchestra audition in the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra at the age of 19 (section violin tenure track) and am interested in continuing a career in orchestral playing as well as teaching.

I have been teaching since I was around 10 years old, starting off by running my own Suzuki Group classes. I’ve been maintaining a private studio for about five years with students of the ages 3 to 40 (in person and through online platforms)! I have been playing violin for about 19 years (since I was 3 years old) and learned violin through the Suzuki method, as well as being a member of the Creative Ability Development Tour Group, where I traveled across the country teaching students and teachers about how to teach the subject of improvisation through music. I incorporate these things within my teaching, implementing a welcoming space free of judgment and pressure! My goal is for my students to be confident within their playing technically and musically while embracing the natural gift of music.
