About Jason
As mentioned in my ad, I have a long history of teaching Physics. Perhaps more importantly, I have a long history of studying how to teach physics. My graduate degree is in Science Education, and my professional research involves the teaching of Physics. I am not someone that just knows the subject and therefore thinks they can explain it, my passion centers around the art of teaching. I learn from the students I teach and constantly reflect on this knowledge in order to advance my craft.

When working with a student, my approach involves first listening to how the individual discusses the challenges they are having, and then pinpointing the concepts that seem to be missing from their approach.
To me, good teaching in physics involves a constant back-and-forth dialogue between teacher and student, with appropriate scaffolding and reflective questioning.
