Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
Yoga is the science of human body.
If you know how to manage the body, you are able to achieve anything. I am generational practitioner of Yoga.
My grandfather used to teach me Yoga with his other students.
I have always enjoyed practising Yoga and Pranayama since my childhood days. Later on I have explored more and had training with different gurus in India.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
I feel very content to help people by yoga. A lot of people achieve their goals and improve their health through the yoga training. It motivates me a lot.
How does your work help society?
My work allows me to help people in their lives. Yoga help people to enhance their productivity at work place and achieve their goals.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
I don't think we need role models to contribute something good to the society. Just a genuine intention is enough.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
Apart from teaching yoga I enjoy practising Ayurveda.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
I would like to share an anecdote about one of my Yoga students.
He was very disappointed with the stiffness of his body. In the beginning he could not even sit down on the floor because of the body stiffness. But he decided to devote one hour to yoga practice everyday. Now after a year he is an advanced yoga practitioner.
