About Barry
An Associate Architect with 17 years post-RIBA Pt 3 qualification specialist focus on BIM-led delivery. I’m an Autodesk Certified Revit Professional with advanced Navisworks clash-coordination experience delivering federated models to the IMI Framework across the UK & Ireland.
My work spans critical healthcare, large data-centre campuses, industrial manufacturing and urban masterplans. Key projects include:
AWS Data Centre, Didcot — BIM management and coordination lead for a Data-Centre Masterplan campus.
New Children’s Hospital & Non-Clinical Support Building, Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast — Project Architect and BIM lead through technical design and coordination.
Envision AESC Giga Factory — Principal architect lead for the Energy Centre (RIBA Stages 3-5) and architectural coordination of multidisciplinary design packages.
Uisce Éireann national office fit-outs — Principal architect lead for Category B workplace packages across multiple new properties.
Shireland Collegiate Academy Performing Arts Centre — Lead design architect (planning) and Project Architect/BIM lead on Design & Build delivery.
I lead BIM coordination from concept through technical design: producing BEPs, managing CDE workflows, federating models, running Navisworks clash cycles and preparing construction-ready model handovers. I enjoy mentoring teams — developing practical Revit and Navisworks training exercises that improve modelling consistency, reduce on-site issues and clarify handover.
