About Chloé
Bonjour, I'm Chloé and I'm a heritage French speaker who lives in the U.S. I love traveling and exploring and have been to many countries (including France, Hungary, Austria, Mexico, Malta, and more!) Culture and communication are so interesting to me and I hope to help you learn more about French culture and being a good global citizen. Language learning is such a joy for me, and French is one of my favorite languages. I commit myself to everything I do, have A+s all around, and I promise to you that I will work to do everything I can to help YOU succeed. Alongside being a hard worker, I also have a lot of enthusiasm and will do my best to motivate you to learn about the culture and language of France. Bonjour! My name is Chloé and I'm a high school sophomore with teaching and coaching experience. I'm a heritage French speaker and have worked for FIAF as a teacher's assistant, and coached swimmers. I have also babysat and tutored kids ages 3-15 years old, so I'm good at helping younger as well as older students.
My lesson plans are catered directly to the student. Tell me what YOU want and need to learn and I will get you on the path to success. Lessons are structured through warm-up exercises and then diving into any work you may bring to the class from school or any pre-discussed lessons I have planned (again, catered to your needs.)
I find that the most effective method for not only LEARNING but RETAINING and UNDERSTANDING information is to use ACTIVE RECALL. My sessions will be a guided lesson with Q&A as I ask you questions to make sure you understand our concepts and you ask me questions about anything you need clarification with.
My lessons are for beginners to the French language up to level three French. I teach reading, writing, comprehension, speaking, and fluency skills to make you sound like a French native!
