About Lucy
My name is Lucy, I am currently studying Psychology at Edinburgh Napier University. I have a passion for teaching, having completed specifically classroom work experience. In that particular role I learnt a lot from professionals about how to create a positive learning environment and encourage focused, yet pleasurable study time. As a further education student I am committed to providing a high standard of teaching, inspired by the high quality of teaching I feel I have received in my years as a student. I am often described as approachable, patient, and high-spirited.

My lessons will be built around you and your specific goals, working on your weaknesses and maintaining your strengths to get you ready for exam day! I have an A in English literature GCSE and an A Level in English literature, therefore feel fully equipped to support individuals who are striving to build up to a higher standard/result in their English exams. The lessons I intend to teach will be aimed at those revising for their National 4 and 5 exams. I have familiarised myself with the curriculum for these qualifications. Techniques and methodology for these classes will include personally tailored practice questions (to be marked by myself and students to be provided feedback and advised how to improve), recommended reading, and providing information packs to work on in private study time which will involve specific writers' techniques and contextual information to help with their revision.
