About Megan
I am a biology nerd and love to spread the love and understanding of biology to all those around me! You can certainly tell by the number of house plants I have... I am currently in my fourth year of a double degree in Conservation Ecology & Biology and Literary Studies at Monash. It has been amazing learning about how nature works and how best to protect it. And it is my hope that I can keep studying and teaching in this field for years to come. Some background on me: In 2017 - 2018, I worked as a KUMON teaching assistant, where I discovered my love of helping others learn and grow in confidence. In 2019 I completed year 12, receiving an ATAR of 96.70 and a study score of 43 in biology. After year 12, I took up more work in this field and now privately tutor in biology and psychology. I have experience working with students ranging from prep to grade 12 and have taught from the VCAA, QCAA and ACT curriculums (I am always willing to learn a new curriculum if yours isn't on the list!). But most importantly, I take pride in the fact, my students and I always seem to have a heap of fun learning how truly exciting biology can be! :) So if you are looking for a biology tutor, I would love to help :)

Biology can seem like a confusing subject with never-ending concepts and definitions to memorize, but with my bubbly attitude and own love of biology, students can gain their own confidence and joy in the subject! What I offer: - private or small group lessons for grades prep to year 12 - diagrams and explanations to make concepts easy to understand - quick marking of practice tests and exams with explanations of incorrect answers - online lessons or in person - exam and study tips - a joyous attitude to biology that will leave students loving it too! - knowledge of VCAA, QCAA and ACT curriculums (and always happy to learn more!) What lessons might look like: - revising class work that didn't quite make sense the first time - learning new content (if getting ahead is your thing) - lots of zoom whiteboard drawing - plenty of practice questions and quizzing - whatever you want! I always want to tailor sessions around your goals and needs

Megan is a gifted and engaging teacher. My child always felt comfortable asking her questions.
Megan has helped me with VCE psychology (both units 1&2 and 3&4). She was very easy to work with and understand, lending a level of clarity to the subject that I was not getting from my teachers.
