About Navila
Hi! My name is Navila, and I’m passionate about helping students gain confidence and success in their studies. I tutor elementary through middle school students in mainly math, with a purpose on making learning clear and meaningful. My teaching approach is patient and engaging; I adapt each lesson to match the student's pace by using visual explanations and solving step-by-step problems to help students truly understand the concept. Working with me will likely make the student feel motivated, develop new skills, and confident. I'm dedicated to supporting their academic growth day by day.

As a tutor, my approach focuses on complete understanding and building confidence in every student I guide. I believe that with math there are challenges to face, but my goal is to assist the student with clear explanation. My teaching methods include step-by-step explanation, and reviewing. Step-by-step solving is a must in the math subject especially with complex math. I find it important to always review the concept with examples and to look back at the notes so it will help keep out the confusion. A typical lesson plan I would plan is a quick 5-minute warm-up that is review, then problems to discuss and solve which could also be homework, and lastly a challenging question to finish off for their understanding. When it comes to what sets me apart is my expressive speech, patience, and being informative. As a senior I have learned a lot and with these traits I am able to provide a supportive environment towards the students I work with. I design my lessons for mostly elementary and middle school students with math up to Algebra 1. Whether a student may need extra help in catching up with homework, I am honored to help them reach their potential with these sessions.
