About Taylor
I am a senior in high school. I have loved writing since I was a young child and I have always excelled in it. I write creatively (short stories, screenplays, occasionally poetry) and essays (rhetorical, synthesis, literary analysis). I have edited/proofread several of my peers papers throughout high school to help them make a better grade. I plan to major in English or Screenwriting/Film in college.

While, I am not a teacher, I do have my own method of tackling essays or stories. It depends on the topic. If I am writing an essay, you must first make sure you understand what the prompt it. Then, you must do any background/research necessary. If there is a passage you have to read or a source you need, you must do that first. After that is the quick brainstorming. Outlining the paper of how you want it to flow. Introduction, thesis, main body, conclusion. There are different variations of these but that is the basic outline of an essay. I always find that the thesis is the MOST important part of the essay. Other things such as textual evidence, commentary, parenthetical citations, etc. will also come into play. Creative writing is an entirely different ballgame. It all depends on what the prompt/assignment is.
