About Athena
I speak five languages and know the difficulty that comes with learning new languages. The stress of wanting to speak but not make mistakes. Also, that sinking feeling when you realize you knew how to say what you wanted the whole time, you were just too afraid. I understand, and I am not new to teaching. I have been in a classroom-type setting from babies to adults for about 7 years now. Teaching is something I enjoy because when my students achieve their goals it also means that work we put in was all worth it.

Each Lesson will consist of a form of speaking, listening and phonetic activity.
This will ensure every student can grasp the proper pronunciation, and possible use of new words in day to day activities.
My goal is not to teach you things that will only be uses in a classroom setting but, rather the outside world.
We will have new words to study memorize and build on each week

I have seen Ms. Athena work with her students with so much compassion and patience. Ms. Athena is creative in her lessons and continues to practice what she teaches. In a short time she puts in the work to also learn about her learner's cultural background to best explain. Very professional and encouraging!
Athena and I have been good friends for 3 years and we also taught together. Athena cares deeply about her students and will always go the extra mile to help or make sure the students understand. She is very kind and will support her students in any way.
Athena is my best friend of 10 years and an amazing person! She is friendly, dedicated, patient and creative. She also previously taught ESL in South Korea. You will greatly benefit by choosing Athena as your ESL teacher!
