About Veena
Bonjour! I am a qualified teacher of Modern Foreign Languages specialising in French. I have 13 years experience of teaching French full-time to secondary school pupils in the UK at Key 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE) and Key Stage 5 (AS and A Level). I have also tutored students in French.

I tailor each lesson to meet the needs of my students. Firstly,I always outline the objectives of the lesson and get an idea of the student's knowledge on the topic. When introducing new vocabulary, I start with explaining key phonics and pronunciation followed by memory and recall activities to embed learning. Students can then do some reading, listening and written tasks to consolidate their learning. Some lessons may focus on a particular grammar point that the student needs to learn and practice. I set home learning tasks to consolidate learning that has taken place in the lesson which will then be retrieved in the following session. I offer guidance on exam practice when needed.
