I was a student of Kosta’s for about 6 years. I had been taking piano lessons prior from when I was 6 years old up until I started middle school at age 11. For those five previous years, I had switched between many piano teachers and no matter who I had, I still felt like I was behind on my skills. I also felt that I wasn’t being recognized for my potential, which frustrated me to the point where I had wanted to quit. However, when Kosta became my teacher, I saw a a difference even after my first lesson with him. He is the type of teacher who will assess HOW you want to be taught by asking what your goals are, rather than just teaching the same methods to every student. His teaching style is consistent in terms of technique but also unique to every student, and he truly does care about each and every one of his students. Throughout the 6 years I spent with Kosta, I learned to love the piano again and I didn’t feel like practicing was a chore.
