About Jemima
I am a history graduate and am currently undertaking a master's degree in art history. I love what art, history and drama can tell us about ourselves, and believe that a greater understanding of cultural history makes a well-rounded education! I have a passion for each of my subjects and love to bring them alive for my students.

I am very experienced in the fields I teach, and can provide not only a deeper understanding of the subject, but can also help with the practical aspects of learning such as academic writing, presentation skills, and critical thinking. I provide a tailored approach, meeting my students at their current level and working on specific areas of focus, and can also provide assistance with exam strategy and essay structure. I am very experienced with the following subjects: Queen Elizabeth’s reign (AQA GCSE syllabus) Henry VIII’s reign and Early Elizabethan England (Edexcel GCSE syllabus) Renaissance art and history 19th and early 20th century art (Pearson Edexcel History of Art A Level syllabus) Shakespeare's plays and theatre of the 16th and 17th centuries Modern European history Early Modern social and material history I achieved all A*s at A-Level and a high 2.1 at degree level at the University of York. I am now undertaking a master's degree in art history, curatorship and Renaissance culture with the University of London in association with the National Gallery.
