Hello! I’m Ria, a Mathematics graduate from King’s College London with a passion for making maths clear, engaging, and enjoyable for every student. With over five years of professional experience in strategy and data consulting at leading firms, I’ve spent much of my career using mathematical thinking to solve complex, real-world problems. This background allows me to show students how maths isn’t just about formulas — it’s a way of thinking that builds confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills. I’m patient, approachable, and genuinely enjoy helping students unlock their potential. My Approach to Tutoring As a Mathematics graduate from King’s College London (BSc Mathematics with Management and Finance), I bring both strong analytical skills and a genuine enthusiasm for helping students build confidence in the subject. My approach focuses on understanding — not memorisation. I break complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and use real-world examples to make abstract ideas more intuitive and engaging. I adapt each lesson to suit the student’s individual learning style and goals, whether that’s building foundational understanding, improving exam performance, or stretching beyond the curriculum. I encourage active problem-solving and questioning, creating an open, supportive environment where students feel comfortable tackling challenges. Lesson Structure and Techniques A typical lesson will begin with a quick recap of previous material, followed by guided practice, and end with exam-style questions or applied examples. I use visual aids, step-by-step explanations, and digital whiteboard tools to make lessons interactive and clear. Experience and Qualifications I hold a BSc in Mathematics and have extensive experience explaining complex ideas through my professional background in consulting and data-driven problem-solving.
