About Abby
Hi! My name is Abby and I'm from the USA. I am a TEFL-certified English teacher. I learned Spanish to fluency and have worked as a Spanish-English CHI-certified medical interpreter. I also am learning Levantine Arabic which I speak at a conversational level. I love learning and teaching languages as I see language learning as a powerful tool for connection, empowerment, and deeper exploration of both ourselves and the world around us. I am also very passionate about spirituality, yoga, plant medicine, meditation, shamanism, and ancestral healing practices — and I love merging language-learning or translation and interpretation in these fields. ----------------- ¡Hola! Aprendí español hasta alcanzar la fluidez y he trabajado como intérprete médico español-inglés certificada por CHI. También estoy aprendiendo árabe levantino, el cual hablo a nivel conversacional. I’ve developed a unique, personalized program where I take the topics you’re most passionate about — or most curious to explore — and design an immersive experience around them. Your lesson plans and personalized homework will integrate reading, speaking, listening, and audio practices tailored to your interests. This makes learning feel more relevant and connected to your purpose for learning. I also offer a guided meditation I created to help you connect with a deeper sense of purpose in your learning process — and to build more motivation and confidence in your ability to reach your goals.
As a language learner myself, I can guide you in how to keep progressing independently. Outside of our live lessons, I dedicate time to supporting your progress. I keep a personal dictionary for each student, track the words and expressions we’ve learned together, and use that to create custom homework, audio recordings, and a flexible study plan you can follow between sessions. If it helps, I would be happy to be your accountability partner —to cheer you on, provide structure when helpful, and help you stay consistent.
My goal is to create a learning space that’s laid-back, flexible, and fun — a space where you feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and being fully yourself. Looking forward to seeing you in class!

También ofrezco una meditación guiada que creé para ayudarte a conectar con un sentido más profundo de propósito en tu camino de aprendizaje — y para ayudarte a tener más motivación y confianza en tu capacidad para alcanzar tus metas.
Como también soy estudiante de idiomas, puedo orientarte sobre cómo seguir progresando de forma independiente. Además de nuestras clases en vivo, dedico tiempo a apoyar tu avance: creo un diccionario personalizado para cada estudiante, hago seguimiento de las palabras y expresiones que hemos aprendido juntos, y uso eso para crear tareas personalizadas, audios y un plan de estudio flexible que puedes seguir entre sesiones. Si te ayuda, estaré encantada de ser tu compañera de responsabilidad — animándote, dándote estructura cuando sea útil, y ayudándote a mantenerte constante.
Mi objetivo es crear un espacio de aprendizaje relajado, flexible y divertido — un espacio donde te sientas cómodo/a cometiendo errores, haciendo preguntas y siendo tú mismo/a por completo.
