About Josephine
I am a piano teacher and concert pianist working with students for over 30 years from Hong Kong. I am also an MA music psychologist who graduated from the University of Leeds and am a holder of PhD candidate status in Jungian psychology. My teaching philosophy is to pursue students' holistic music development. Self-awareness between emotions and music plays an important role in exploring musical potential and personal characteristics. My teaching objective is to allow my students to have maximum autonomy in their music learning, so I consider my students' personalities and musical interests before my teaching plan for any one of them. Based on maintaining mental health and well-being, lifelong music appreciation can enhance people's quality of life. Piano playing should be a natural enjoyment rather than a merely practical skill.

I provide both face to face and online lesson for piano and/or music theory. I'd love to teach student with any musical background, levels and ages. My lessons normally focused on piano skills, musiciality but more likely focused on mindfulness and wellness. I welcome student are looking for leisures or professional traning, such as pop, classical, examination or competition.
