About Clara

I am an artist, musician, poet, lover of languages, nature, the infinite universe and the beautiful souls of it. Now I am also an English tutor. I have tutored since 2016 with ESL learners all of the world from many other native languages. I have done language exchange with Mongolian, Japanese, Portuguese, Uzbek, Turkish, Swedish and Icelandic. (all languages I study and love dearly.) I am currently a ESL/multisubject volunteer, helping with Ukrainian/English exchange, and Mongolian/english exchange. I also am studying to get my TEFL certificate. I bring to you this passion and openness, and determination to experience English and your Englush goals.

I hope to hear your language experiences and goals in learning English so that I can create lesson plans just for you, as well as bringing deeper experience and creative teaching to our exchange!
I am an ESL tutor also speaker of Lakota, and some ojibwe. I am learning Mongolian language . I have studied in the past many languges..such as Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Hungarian, Uzbek , Swedish, Icelandic and more. I study Old English as well as modern English dialects. I am an artist and most of all a spirit that wants to connect with others, teach, share and exchange and bring these experiences to our lessons ! I believe that words have power and meaning and they are but one form of communication of our intelligence and spirit. When we learn more languages we form even more connections, touch other spirits and expand. I bring this philosphy to teaching English.
Our lessons will be:
Unique, interactive, specific to you, can cross any topic, makes connections with English language to your thoughts, ideas, feelings, dreams, and to other speakers. They will cover comprehending, listening, speaking, writing, and reading. If there is one you like to focus on we will spend more time with that.
In our interactive meetings and lessons we will:
-Learn and practice free flow conversations in English (or with guided topics as well) and speak more and more every day. Practice expressing your thoughts in English and even thinking in English. Having a free conversation time everyday with lesson moments mixed in. Express and learn words and phrases connecting with their real meanings, not just parroting.
-Learn vocabulary in context (stories, life experiences, conversations, travels, outdoor lessons, activies, using art or hobbies, novels, history, popular topics and news, business, education, poems, books, movies, music, games and more.)
-Work on your goals and English language goals more every lesson, working on long term lesson projects. Unique projects!
-If you are interested, learn more through visual art (I am an artist) and art games, other games, improvisation and creative writing and storytelling! We can also use poetry writing and memorizing, theatre, film discussion, and more.
-Learn English through topics that are passions and curiosities of you (or us both) with lessons, discussions, debates, and mixed lessons!
-Learn English through topics and experiences relevant to your life and goals, travels, and family
-Prepare for school, business, IELTS (if these are your goals.
-Learn history and makeup of English words as well as the connection of English to other langauges.
-Lessons done in both your langauge's perspective and the English language perspective.
