About Sophie
I have worked in television, been regulars in series, learnt alongside some of the most iconic people in screen and played classical roles and new plays in theatres like The Royal Court, Riverside, Pleasance, I have seen the industry change and am aware of the fundamental tools - as well as the fun and spontaneity - needed to adapt to those constant changes. I am a produced writer in radio, film and theatre, writing for many film companies with film and television projects in development as an actor-writer. My experience in writing deepens my understanding of character - what motivates, drives and divides them - as well as what makes them stand out.

I will work on character, arc, obstacles and wants - and generally how to inhabit the part you are playing or auditioning for. We will break down text and do exercises to immerse yourself in the character, so you are confident enough to experiment. I will look for your strengths as well as what needs most work. I will help try to combat nerves and find the joy in performing!
