About Atul
I’m a music nerd, flutist and lifelong student of music, with a deep love for Indian Classical music and its many possibilities. My musical journey has taken me through flute, vocals, rhythm and experimentation with different instruments and genres. I enjoy understanding why music works just as much as learning how to play it.
I love exploring raag, melody, rhythm, improvisation and musical expression, while also experimenting with contemporary sounds and fusing Indian Classical ideas with modern music.
As a teacher, my goal is to make music curious, approachable and fun. I don’t want to simply teach you notes on a flute—I want to help you develop an ear for music, understand what you’re playing, and become a more independent and expressive musician.

Learn Indian Classical Flute in a structured yet relaxed environment, suitable for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners. The class focuses on developing strong fundamentals in sur, breath control, fingering, alankars, raag, taal and improvisation, while encouraging you to discover your own musical expression.
Beyond flute, we’ll explore how Indian classical concepts connect with vocals and other instruments, helping you develop a broader understanding of melody, rhythm and musicality. Whether you want to learn your first notes, deepen your knowledge of Indian classical music, play songs with greater confidence, or improve your overall musicianship, the classes will be tailored to your level and goals.
The aim is not just to teach you an instrument, but to help you understand and experience music more deeply.
