About Peter
Peter Walsh is a versatile cellist, passionate about exploring various musical styles, including fiddle, jazz, commercial, baroque, contemporary, and classical music. As an arts educator, Peter has dedicated himself to teaching private cello lessons, completed trainings in the Suzuki Method, offered chamber coaching, and worked with youth orchestras. In masterclass settings, Peter has studied with renowned cellists such as Seth Parker Woods, Colin Carr, Sunny Yang, and Kim Kashkashian. His previous teachers include Richard Aaron, Antonio Lysy, Ben Hong, Niall Brown, David Ying, Erika Duke Kirkpatrick, Alex Bozman, and Mark Casillas.

I have experience working with students of all levels and can lead you step by step to learn the cello. In each lesson we will work on developing your fundamental skills on the cello and go over detailed ways to practice. Students will learn a combination of scales, etudes, and pieces of different genres to meet their playing goals!
