I like to engage with the student. The first thing I want to understand is what the learner hopes to accomplish, where they are on that journey at the present and how they best engage with information.
I find learning to be the most effective, and students the most consistently engaged, when they are able to understand the goals of the lesson and enjoy the execution of the plan.
