Singing is a deeply embodied act that bridges intellect, emotion, and physicality. I teach with an integrated method grounded in Communication, Creativity, Cultural Sensitivity, and Accountability to ensure each student experiences growth that is both artistic and sustainable.
I begin with communication because trust and transparency are the foundation of effective learning. I take time to discuss your goals, clarify your questions, and ensure you understand the rationale behind each vocal exercise. I adapt my language and approach to fit how you process information—making sure nothing is mechanical or unclear.
Creativity fuels every lesson. From metaphor-based vocal exploration to dramatic scene work and melodic re-interpretation, I use creative prompts to invite risk-taking and help you discover new aspects of your sound. Whether you’re singing soul, opera, musical theatre, or folk, your voice is encouraged to experiment and evolve. Cultural sensitivity ensures we’re engaging with music thoughtfully. I help students approach songs not just as melodies, but as cultural artifacts—examining origin, intent, and impact.
