About Akis
I have played Badminton since I was 8 years old and had been competing internationally since I was 10. Throughout my career I have trained at badminton centers is Indonesia, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Austria and Luxembourg. I have played the European championships a few times as well as many other tournaments all over Europe. I have done a lot of coaching, mainly at University where I coached beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. In Barcelona, I regularly give individual classes.

Generally, I like to focus on improving a player's technique and footwork. A typical class would include a warm-up followed by a session dedicated to up to 3 areas we determined as needing improvement. Generally, I recommend sessions of 1-2 hours, however, I have found that some players improve very quickly during a weekend of up to 8 hours. A good mix of tiring and less physical exercises allows for this and regular coaching during and between exercises allows the muscles and stamina to recover.
