About Shveta
My experience as a film maker has led me on a very entertaining journey of travel and adventure. I love learning about new cultures and helping people re-discover their passions and talents. I have recently completed a short film in Paris which will premiere on ARTE and SWR in Europe. My portfolio is very diverse, ranging from all types of Transmedia work. I have studied film at AFDA Film School and have a postgraduate training at La Femis (France), Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg (Germany) and NFTS (UK).
I have filmed locally and internationally through Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, France, Germany and the UK which has exposed me to different cultures and ways of communicating with non-english speakers whilst learning the nuances of their language and culture too. The most rewarding part of my experience is seeing the world through stories.

My lessons are tailored exactly to what your goals are. I love to connect different types of cinema and storytelling techniques, whether you are a more visual learner or you prefer brainstorming sessions.
In our lessons I prioritise free expression, creativity and ideas. My aim is to help you condense all of your thoughts and channel it into your project. I'll give you a few techniques and exercises to practise your writing and any reference movies/series/transmedia work to help you unlock your scriptwriting skills.
For production work I will go through the technical documents you would need to sharpen your analytical and organizational skills that you need for filming.
I mainly work in English, however if you are translating from any language to English, I can help with the grammar to keep your creative tone of your project. I have previously translated film treatments from French and German into English. I have previously lectured at a Film University in South Africa for four years and am adept in teaching students at any level, from beginner to professional.
