About Veronica
Hi, I'm Veronica Start - your holistic vocal coach! Are you an emerging or established singer who longs to achieve vocal mastery and authentic expression? I am passionate about helping singers connect with their most soulful voices through personalized strategies that align with their unique gifts and vision. ***Currently I'm only offering online lessons***
I've been a singer-songwriter and recording artist for more than 20 years and have performed with bands and as a solo act in large clubs and intimate venues in Canada and England. My expertise is in the genres of pop, blues, jazz, soul, country and musical theatre classics.
In 2006, my debut single "You're a Star" (produced by Robbie Bronnimann) achieved #11 in the UK Music Week pop charts and was a dancefloor hit in Scotland. Later, a reworked EDM version of Running Up That Hill was featured on syndicated radio for over 40 million global listeners. My music has received international airplay, supported by DJ Sasha, Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Graham Gold, BBC Radio, Ministry of Sound, Kiss 100, Galaxy FM and BPM.
In 1999, I co-produced my first album called “Ways to Move You” with my former partner John Shepp (producer of Matthew Good) which features my alt-pop-electronic originals.
As a member of a Cree nation in Alberta (with mixed heritage), I'm a survivor of intergenerational trauma, so my early life was very challenging with limited emotional support and stability. It took a lot of self-education, grit, determination, and many years of struggle to survive my environment and forget having the nerve to get on a stage!
What took me over 30 years to figure out can be your easiest pathway to vocal mastery. Using the latest methods in neuropsychology and trauma-informed whole body learning, let me show you how powerful you can be and how you can claim your true soulful voice!
