About Fiorella
Born and raised in Lima, Peru, I'm a recent graduatefrom the University of British Columbia, with a B.A. in International Relations and wishing to pursue in the future a Bachelor in Education. My teaching experience started in 2020, where I volunteered with a local program to deliver online tutoring to elementary and middle school students. This experience awakened my passion for teaching, and I continued tutoring during my university years (2021-2025); my students' age spanned from 12 to 21 years old. Recently, I have started a English Teacher position, teaching student ranging from Grade 4 to Grade 10. Similarly, I have started an Education Consultant position, focusing on tutoring middle and high school students in Spanish Language and preparing them for the Advanced Placement (AP) exam. All these interactions have represented for me a strong foundation in both my personal and professional goals. I find joy in teaching; the students are my greatest motivation and source of pride. Being able to help them to surpass their limits and unleash their true potential is my greatest satisfaction.

With a student-centered approach, focusing on building strong foundations in reading, writing, and vocabulary, my goal is to provide students with quality education and help them to build up self-confidence through engaging, interactive, and personalized lessons. Each lesson is structured around clear objectives, keeping in mind the student's level and goals. A typical 60-minute session includes warm-up activities, reading comprehension, writing practice, vocabulary expansion, and reflection. I believe that every human being has unlimited potential, and teaching has been for me an experience through which I find joy in helping others succeed. I'm approachable, adaptable, and compassionate, and my priority will always be to create a safe, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. Students are always my top priority; their progress and confidence in using the language is what motivates me.
