About Emil
I am a skilled Drum Tutor with over 8 years of experience teaching college students. I help learners build strong rhythm, coordination, and confidence through clear and practical lessons. My goal is to make drumming easy to understand and enjoyable at every stage. My teaching style is structured and supportive. I start by assessing each student’s level and musical interest.
Based on this, I create lesson plans that help students progress step by step. I focus strongly on basics such as grip, posture, timing, and groove. I use innovative teaching methods like rhythm counting systems, slow-to-fast tempo exercises, and guided practice routines. I also include song-based learning so students can apply techniques in real music situations. Creativity is always encouraged in my lessons.
Students learn how to create their own beats and fills while understanding rhythm structure. I help them think critically about how drums support different music styles. I begin by understanding the student’s level, goals, and music preferences. Lessons start with strong basics such as grip, posture, timing, and coordination. I encourage students to think critically about rhythm patterns and how drums support a song.
Creativity is a key part of my lessons. Students are guided to create their own beats, fills, and variations. I use simple exercises, play-along tracks, and real song examples to make lessons practical and interesting.
As a mentor, I focus on motivation and long-term growth. Accountability is maintained through clear practice goals and regular progress checks. Students learn discipline, consistency, and responsibility through guided practice routines.
Along with drums, I also teach related subjects such as rhythm reading, basic music theory, tempo control, and effective practice planning. This helps students grow into complete and confident musicians.
