I am currently studying to be a Home Economics and Irish teacher in St. Angela's College in Sligo. I have a background in Irish from attending a Gaelscoil. I am currently on placement teaching in a secondary school in Westmeath. I am dedicated to helping students reach their full potential. Lessons available in person or online. Personalized notes etc. OneDrive folder for each student. Lessons can be exam-focused or holistic. My approach to teaching is student-centered, focusing on creating an engaging and interactive learning environment. I also incorporate cultural elements to make the language feel more alive and relevant. Each lesson typically lasts around 60 minutes, with time dedicated to both structured learning and free conversation to help reinforce the material. I tailor my lessons based on the student’s level and interests, offering support for beginners all the way through to advanced learners. I have a background in teaching and learning Irish, and I am currently a student teacher for Irish and Home Economics. My experience includes teaching individuals and classes, with a variety of ages and different learning needs. I teach Junior Cycle (1st-3rd year) and Leaving Certificate (TY-6th year) students at all levels, from those who are not as confident to advanced learners who want to refine their skills or delve deeper into the language.
