About Gabriele
Gabriele Mazzon is an Italian violinist born in 1995. He studied at the A. Steffani Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto in Italy with the M ° Michele Lot where he obtained the highest distinction, and he then won with distinction his Master of specialized violin at the Royal Conservatory of Mons - ARTS2 with M ° Eliot Lawson, also professor at the Conservatories of Amsterdam and Braga. During his training, he also studied with Ilya Grubert at Fondazione Musicale Santa Cecilia in Italy, and followed masterclasses with Ivry Gitlis, Elina Vahala (Wien University of Music) Elisabeth Perry (Utrecht Conservatory), Wibert Aerst (Conservatories of Mons and Ghent), Vicente Anton, Igor Voloshin (Ecole Normale de Paris), Vineta Sareika (Artemis Quartet). He studied chamber music with Domenico Nordio, Filippo Feas (first prize at the Schubert Piano Competition), Daniel Rubinstein and Luc Dewez. Not only a laureate of numerous competitions such as the Castiglione delle Stiviere Italian National Competition and the Città di Treviso International Competition, Gabriele Mazzon also won the D. Zambon Scholarship at the Castelfranco Vto Conservatory in 2017. He has collaborated with several orchestras in Italy , such as the Venice Chamber Orchestra as principal violin of the second violins, Filarmonia Veneta, Offerta Musicale, then as first violin in the Orchestra Giacomo Facco and the NovArtBaroqueEnsemble, one of the most important baroque music ensembles in Venice. In 2016, Gabriele Mazzon won an audition that allowed her to be first violin at the National Orchestra of the Conservatories of Italy (ONCI) directed by Bruno Aprea. Since 2018, he has played regularly with many prestigious orchestras, as first violin for the Young Musicians European Orchestra conducted by Paolo Olmi in Italy, Russia and China, in the Orchestra d'archi Italiana directed by Enrico Bronzi, the Boho Strings Orchestra of Antwerp in Belgium and the Hulencourt Symphony Orchestra in Brussels. In 2018, he won the audition for Jeugd Antwerp Simphony Orchestra (ASO) and Nationaal Jeugd Orkest (NJO), and is simultaneously selected as a reserve for the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO). He founded with the pianist Julien Lejeune Duo Aréthuse, as well as the Belgian Music Composers Ensemble, a project dedicated to Belgian music.

During my training, I had the opportunity to study with famous teachers with whom I was able to discover different violin techniques and different pedagogical approaches, which allowed me to create my own methodology. If Italy gave me the passion of sharing and communication (a typical Italian characteristic), Belgium taught me to convey a message, an idea in a concrete way. My meeting with Mr Lawson also made me aware of the importance in the life of an artist to share his knowledge, and teaching is for me the best way to put this sharing into practice.

Perfect! Gabriele est doué d'une intelligence pénétrante qui lui confère la capacité d'identifier rapidement ce qui doit etre amélioré chez l'élève. Pour son jeune age il est doué une autorité qui ne laisse pas indifférent. Son sens de la précision et de l'exigence sont idéales pour les personnes souhaitant se mettre réellement en jeu dans cette discipline.

Perfect! Gabriele est un super prof de violon. Il est motivant et passionné, mais aussi très sérieux et organisé (avant même de faire le premier cours il nous a envoyé la matière d'étude pour les trois premiers mois). Quelle chance de rencontrer un professeur pareil !

Gabriele est non seulement un musicien talentueux mais également un professeur à l'écoute, bienveillant et toujours en recherche pour améliorer sa méthodologie. En plus de ses qualités musicales et sa connaissance du répertoire, il est également doté d'une véritable envie de partager son art, ce qui fait de lui un enseignant de très grande qualité.
Gabriele est très didactique et intelligent. Il sait adapter les cours au besoin de chacun, et est gentil et patient avec les débutants. C'est donc un très bon prof que je recommande vivement.
Voici deux ans que Gabriele et moi travaillons ensemble sur des projets de musique de chambre. Non seulement il vous donnera une étude précise sur la technique du violon mais il vous apportera l'inspiration musical de par sa passion débordante pour le violon. Ne manquez pas cette occasion!
