About James
I have been a stage and screen actor professionally for twenty five years. I am a graduate of WAAPA (music theatre) and have taught at every leading performing arts university in Australia. I am the winner of the Helpmann Award, Sydney Critics Award and Green Room Award for best actor in a musical. I am also a trained fiction writer, after studying Writing at UTS.

Always an individual approach based on play, creativity and security of the student. I do not believe in a “one method” fits all approach to creativity as expression can be nerve wracking, new and potentially vulnerable. I love to impart technique, largely based on the work of Uta Hagen and accessible Stanislavsky methodology which can be taught in an entertaining, consumable and really fun way. Personal, playful and a completely anxiety-safe space for learning technique, theory and practise.
