Hi, I’m Marin
I’m an online Japanese tutor based in Vancouver, Canada
I teach Japanese online,
and at the same time,
I study English and Mandarin just like you
I’ve been living in Vancouver for 3 years now,
and I’ve spent a total of 7 years living abroad
Living overseas wasn’t always easy.
I know what it feels like to
understand something in your head
but not be able to say it out loud
That anxiety… that frustration… I’ve been there too.
That’s why, in my lessons,
I care deeply about how learners actually feel
I don’t teach Japanese just from textbooks.
I focus on clear, practical Japanese
that you can really use in daily life
Natural expressions, real conversations,
and the culture behind the language
I create my own materials,
so you don’t just “study Japanese” —
you actually use Japanese

I’m an INFP, and my hobbies include studying languages (English, Mandarin, and Korean), Pilates, cooking, and writing

Hi there! I’m Marin
I’m from Japan and now living in Vancouver, Canada
I speak 5 languages — English, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean, and Cantonese — and I also teach Mandarin. Since I’ve been studying languages for over 10 years, I totally understand how hard it can feel sometimes… but also how exciting and rewarding it is when you finally get it!
In my lessons, you don’t need to worry about making mistakes. We’ll keep it chill, fun, and easy to follow. Think of it like chatting with a friend — but in English!
