About Joel
I am a professional jazz pianist based in New York City. I’ve been playing around the city for 3 years, and also touring around Spain and the rest of Europe. I also have a Master Degree in Jazz Performance, and won the Roland Hanna Award a couple years ago.

My lessons can variate between students and subjects. For example, for a beginner we would start listening to some music, singing, playing different easy rhythms by ear and learning how to read (I use the Piano Adventures Series, basically). For more advanced students, I usually mark some goals to reach, and we choose a set of 2-3 songs to work on, and, after I give the tools on how to practice what we’re playing, we write out the homework at the end of every class.
