About Sam
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have performed all over the world with my own music and with other people. I am also a producer working on records for majr label artists and indie artists. I have also released my own albums and featured on other people's. I have taught privately and in schools and colleges in London for the last 15 years.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
I have a current CRB certificate.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a member of the Musicians Union.

Hi! I'm a professional musician teaching from my studio in Hackney Central on a beautiful C3 Yamaha grand piano with many other keyboards/instruments and recording equipment to use as teaching resources.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach jazz, classical, soul and pop music and have the facility to make recordings for demos and for learning purposes.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a music degree from Trinity College of Music which is one of the top conservatoires in the UK. I'm currently also enrolled on a PG Cert in the management of teaching and learning at Goldsmiths University.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £40 per hour lesson.
- Where do you teach?
I teach from my studio in Hackney Central, London.
- When are you available?
My times are flexible but mainly afternoons/evenings on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and during the day on Saturdays.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach 14yrs and above. Intermediate and advanced only. No beginners, sorry.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I can help students prepare for a range of qualifications including ABRSM and Guildhall classical exams and jazz.
