About Anna
I am offering tutoring in secondary English (Literature) to help with assessment preparation and skill building, including essays and other academic writing.
I strive to help students build the skills needed to be confident in structuring and drafting assessments through feedback and explanation. I aim to help students understand the criteria of assessment and how to apply their understanding of English to each piece.
I am a student at James Cook University (Townsville) currently studying a a dual degree in Engineering and Science. I completed senior English (Literature) with a VHA and have achieved highly in English throughout school. I have experience in tutoring secondary English, helping students improve the structure, vocabulary and thematic devices of both written, comprehension and oral assessment pieces.

I believe in developing English skills by understanding the structure common to the assessment type. I also believe that English is best learnt through practice and examples. I can help students understand how to apply the skills they have learnt to their assessments as well as to help them build upon the written and comprehensive English skills they will need to succeed.
