About Peter

- Medicine was an easy decision for me when I started university, and that decision gets easier every day. I love to teach because not only does it help others become better doctors, but allows me to share the depth of knowledge I have amassed whilst studying under some of the smartest doctors in London. - I have many years of teaching experience at all levels, and used to volunteer with my university teaching students in younger year groups. - Aside from medicine, I love writing (especially poetry), playing tennis, reading and I am a big collector of not-very-collected things.

About the lesson

- Lessons for those studying medicine at university in any academic year group - My approach to teaching medicine is breaking up a topic into key constituent parts; once you understand exactly how a disease process works, remembering the disease becomes much easier. - A typical lesson would be 1 hour in which we focus on a particular specialty or topic and have discussion around it, providing useful tips and mnemonics to help to remember all the important facts. - I like to use PowerPoint presentations with practice SBAs to help with engagement and information retention. - I have tutored A-Level Maths and GCSE Maths and English in the past. I have mentored students in the years below me, and provided them with much sought-after medical teaching to positive feedback.
