About Matthew
Hi! I'm Matt, a junior doctor and graduate from the University of Birmingham.
I have a strong interest in women's health and academic Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and have been involved in research in this area, including published academic work. I really enjoy teaching and have experience supporting students with both academic work and the medical school application process.
Having recently gone through the medical school application process myself and now working as a doctor, I understand the challenges involved in getting into and progressing through medical school. I'm particularly passionate about helping students build the knowledge, confidence and skills they need to succeed.
Outside of medicine, I'm friendly, approachable and easy-going. I want my lessons to feel like a supportive environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes and work through things without feeling under pressure.
I'm happy to work with students of different abilities, whether you're looking to improve your grades, prepare for an important exam, or simply gain more confidence in a subject.

I offer friendly, relaxed and personalised lessons tailored to each student's individual needs and goals. Whether you're struggling with a particular topic, preparing for exams, or looking to build your confidence, we'll focus on the areas that will make the biggest difference to you.
For GCSE and A-Level Biology, I can help with understanding difficult topics, revision, exam technique and working through past-paper questions. I focus on helping you understand why rather than simply memorising information.
For medical students, I can provide support with medical school exams, clinical reasoning and OSCE preparation, adapting sessions to your current level and upcoming assessments.
I also offer medical school application and interview preparation, including MMI and panel interview practice, mock interviews, feedback and guidance with your application/CV.
I am particularly interested in women's health and academic Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and have published research in this area, so I'm also happy to provide guidance for students interested in pursuing Medicine and/or O&G as a career.
Lessons can be adapted to suit your preferred learning style, whether you prefer structured teaching, working through questions together, or focusing on specific areas you're finding difficult.
