About Shelli
-----MY EDUCATION-----
I was valedictorian of my high school class of 667 at Horizon High School in Scottsdale, AZ. I majored in Political Science at Stanford University. I received my MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, making the Dean's List multiple times.
-----MY PHILOSOPHY-----
My parents were both high school teachers, so I have been raised to value education. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with my students. People learn by using all their senses, as well as by practicing their skills. Each person finds his or her own unique combination that leads to understanding. I feel that identifying and patiently pursuing that combination are among the first steps to success. This opportunity for creative instruction is often lost in the classroom.

She quickly assessed my daughter's math level and is teaching her the concepts to fill in the gaps she's missing. What is interesting, is that according to the ETS/GRE website, the verbal score is actually better at 94% compared to 88% for math.

We had a good experience with Shelli tutoring our 9 year old daughter in maths. She helped her to improve her skills using some structured and also play full methods, such as cards for mental calculation. Shelli is calm and meticulous. I am about to graduate Harvard. Shelli has been my tutor for over a decade, with all the impressive scope and versatility of subject expertise, teaching methods, and admissions savvy that implies. I began working with her in 4th grade, and I remember thinking she was so incredibly smart when I first met her. She helped me learn division, write simple paragraphs on Animal Farm, and apply to private schools. Over the years, she has assisted me with nearly every subject, including Spanish, biology, history, and chemistry.
