About Amber
Teaching and giving to others has always been at the heart of who I am. From an early age, I knew I wanted to share my passion for the performing arts and help others discover their own creative voice. After achieving my BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre, I dedicated myself to completing the teaching qualifications needed to realise my dream of opening a performing arts school — a milestone I proudly reached in 2012. Since then, my professional journey continued to flourish. I work within two thriving performing arts schools, preparing students for LAMDA, Trinity, and IDTA examinations. My commitment to personalised, high-quality training has resulted in a consistently high percentage of students achieving Distinction grades and marks of 90+, reflecting their dedication and the supportive environment I strive to create. A particularly formative chapter in my early career was spending three months overseas in Singapore on a specialised work experience programme. Immersing myself in an international performing arts setting which expanded my understanding of global training standards and inspired new teaching methods. A significant part of my career was serving as the Lead Co-ordinator at NIPA (Norfolk Institute of Performing Arts) for the Trinity and IDTA Teaching Diplomas. During this time, I guided aspiring teachers through their qualifications, many of whom have gone on to open successful schools of their own or pursue exciting opportunities overseas. Contributing to their growth — not just as performers, but as educators — remains one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. I am also delighted and honoured to have been accepted onto the LAMDA Examining Board — a role that allows me to contribute to the standard of excellence in performance and communication education on a national level. This opportunity has enriched my understanding of the examination process and further informs the high-quality preparation I offer my students. Many of my performance students have also been nominated for the prestigious IDTA Dance Awards and have successfully gained places at some of the UK’s most respected drama schools, dance colleges, and performing arts academies such as LAINE Theatre Arts, Performers College, Italia Conti, Arts Ed and LAMDA. Watching each student develop, achieve, and step confidently into their future continues to fuel my passion for teaching and my commitment to giving back to the next generation of performers and educators.

With over fifteen years of dedicated experience as a Performing Arts Tutor, I provide high-quality, individually tailored tuition designed to develop confidence, creativity, and technical skill. My teaching approach is rooted in understanding each learner’s unique strengths, ambitions, and learning style, enabling me to craft lessons that are both supportive and challenging. I specialise in preparing students of ALL AGES for LAMDA and Trinity Performance and Communication examinations, offering expert guidance across a wide range of disciplines. Within the LAMDA syllabus, I teach Musical Theatre, Acting, Devising Drama, Mime, Speaking in Public, Reading for Performance, and Verse and Prose. For Trinity, I offer dedicated coaching in Acting, Musical Theatre, Performance Arts, Speech and Drama, and Communications. If you are seeking Audition Preparation for that DREAM Drama School OR Professional Examinations, I offer PCert(LAM), ATCL Trinity (performers and teaching) and IDTA (International Dance Teacher's Association) Teaching Diploma Tuition. My lessons encourage exploration, critical thinking, and a deep appreciation of performance craft. Whether students are working toward examinations, developing professional skills, or building personal confidence, I aim to create an engaging, positive environment where they feel inspired to grow and achieve their goals. Lessons are 30 minutes duration. Grades 6-8 are 45mins - 1hr. Professional Teaching Qualifications (1hr+) to be arranged between both parties. Enhanced DBS Certified.
