Hi, I’m Lauren!
I’m a dedicated teacher who has found her passion for helping people improve their written communication, reading comprehension, and academic confidence! In grade school, writing was a challenge for me. Thankfully, my time at UNC-Chapel Hill helped me to truly enjoy academic writing and ignited my passion for teaching and learning. I’m hopeful that I can help you do the same!

I am a dedicated K-12 ESOL teacher (Teacher of the Year in 2020-2021) who also maintains a part-time tutoring business - Right Approach Tutoring. My private tutoring clients are a mix of ESOL students and native English speakers who want extra academic support.
I specialize in phonics/teaching reading, high school writing support, and any core subjects in grades K-8.
Additionally, I do extensive work with college applicants (both for undergraduate degrees and MBA applications) as well as resumé writing. My support has helped students receive acceptance letters and scholarships to Wharton Business School, UNC-Chapel Hill (full scholarship), NC State, UNC Charlotte, UNC Wilmington and more.
