About Mamoshabi
Hi there! I'm Mamoshabi Machaka, a dedicated tutor based in South Africa with a strong background in law, research, and over 5 years of experience as a kids' church teacher. I have a passion for making learning engaging and accessible, especially for students who are struggling with math or other foundational subjects. As an international student, I understand the challenges of adapting to different learning environments, and I bring this perspective into my tutoring. I tailor my lessons to fit each student's unique needs, ensuring that they feel confident and supported in their studies. TYPICAL LESSON PLAN
Each session is guided by a personalized lesson plan, which I send ahead of time. Here's what a typical session might look like:
- Warm-up – A quick revision of the previous concept or a fun game to get the mind active.
- Concept focus – I introduce the day’s topic clearly, with examples and visual aids when needed.
- Practice time – We go through practice problems together, followed by independent try-outs.
- Quick quiz or check-in – A short test or review to check understanding.
- Confidence booster – I always end with encouragement, reflection, and praise for effort and progress.
