About Alfie
My name is Alfie, I’m a a Law student at the University of Westminster. I want to teach because I have learnt the hard way how to learn. As a student I know how students want to be taught, professors know all the content and just expect students to grasp what they are saying. I have experienced this and had to go back and learn the content in my own time to compensate. I want to give students the opportunity to learn in a way that students benefit from.

As a student that has studied for 2 years (each year at a different Uni) I have seen, first hand, how different teaching styles are used. I also experienced first hand how some of these styles do not work for me and other students. Every individual has a unique style of learning which I think is very important to Incorporate. Ensuring that content is taught in a way that works for the individual is the only real way to get that person to learn effectively. Sharing knowledge and content is all well and good but if it not done in a way that works for the recipient then what good is it really serving? All in all, I think taking a personalised teaching style approach is very important and ultimately differentiates between successful and unsuccessful tutoring.
