About Katie
I am an Acting coach, founder of The Actor’s Surgery and professional actress and have worked with actors for the last 18 years, teaching at universities and accredited drama schools such as Italia Conti, East 15, ALRA, UAL, Central Film School and coaching on Hollywood movies such as ‘Kick Ass 2’ and ‘Kingsmen The Secret Service’ and for large corporations such as Warner Brothers, Bloomberg, Expedia, Nomura, Dinner by Heston. I have many high profile clients including Olivier award winning actors as well as working with new and beginner actors. I studied Drama & Theatre-Arts at Goldsmiths University, Acting at East 15 Acting School and with Philippe Gaulier at Ecole Gaulier Paris, and trained as a teacher at The Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. As an actress, i have appeared on stage and screen, I am part of The Factory Theatre Company and most recently completed a UK tour of my own one woman show ‘FOX’. I offer bespoke 1-2-1 coaching to help with a variety of needs including: Drama school entry - (I have helped students get into RADA, LAMDA, Central, LIPA, ArtsEd, Rose Bruford, Drama Studio London, Bristol Old Vic, East 15, Drama Centre, Fourth Monkey, Italia Conti and various American Drama schools), Self tapes, audition prep, showreel prep, career guidance, confidence building, monologues, scenes, text breakdown, writing, devising and improvisation.

Having trained at high level institutions such as Goldsmiths University, East 15 Acting School, Ecole Gaulier and the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, I have developed my own technique of training actors over the last 18 years. My approach is based on simplicity and aims to develop truthfulness and authenticity in the actor as well as eliminating bad habits and overthinking.
