About Jaafar
As your Arabic tutor, I want you to feel fully confident in both my professionalism and my dedication to your success. I bring over three decades of teaching experience, including six years teaching Arabic language and culture at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC). This experience has given me a deep understanding of how learners progress, the challenges they face, and the strategies that truly help them master the language. In addition to teaching, I am qualified to evaluate students according to the ILR proficiency scale and conduct diagnostic assessments to identify strengths and areas for growth. This means I can create a personalized learning plan tailored exactly to your needs—whether you are starting from zero, strengthening your Modern Standard Arabic, or mastering the Iraqi dialect. My name is Jaafar J. Al-Saaidi, and I bring to you over 30 years of teaching experience in Arabic language and literature.
• B.A. in Arabic Language and Literature – College of Arts, University of Basra, Iraq.
• M.A. in Teaching Methodology & Research – Brandman University, Monterey, California, USA.
