About Jordan
I'm a bit of a misfit, somewhat an oddball, and obsessive over literature and media, but I know what I'm talking about, and we are going to have fun learning! I've been where you are, I've struggled with some subjects before, and I've overcome a lot of adversity to get where I am! I'm a professional, who loves English and Media, but I'll be the professor who cares about you, not just your grade, I want you to come out of the experience with a positive outlook on Literature and English as well as confidence to pass the exam or coursework.

I believe in a modern style of teaching, it's about getting you to realise your potential. I never use the word "wrong" or "incorrect," because you absolutely can do it, it's just that traditional teaching methods have focused on regurgitation tactics. I'm all about enjoyment, and having fun with learning. Trust me, if you don't enjoy the subject, you will find it very difficult to get through it. (I remember how much I hated Maths at school, because the teacher would consistently tell me I was just "not Mathematically inclined...) I'll get you a pass in whatever English exam you're doing. I'll get your grade up if that's what you need, but I believe in the importance of explaining, understanding and enjoying literature, not just getting it over with. Typically, you're looking at a 60 minute lesson, dependent on price and needs. Happy to discuss longer or shorter lessons though. I am a qualified teacher with a PGCE, 2 years experience in Spain, 1 full year in Britain. I have a BAhons Degree in American Studies with a focus on Literature and Media, so I can help there too. Again, age is dependent on what you want. 11-16 for GCSE stuff is fine. 16-18 for Literature, Language or Media 18+ American Studies, Literature, Media or History
