About Abiola
I have a UK university degree, a Diploma in English Teaching and a Certificate of Further Education in English Teaching.
Since May 2020, I have been online teaching, having taught 341 students.
I also have two years classroom teaching experience. I taught adults using worksheets, videos, language games, quizzes and puzzles. I believe when lessons are fun, learning occurs easily and quicker.
Students tell me that I am a good teacher and my rating on the Cambly conversation platform is 4.8 out of 5. ‘You were very good … I gave you a 5’ said one student after a session and another said, ‘you are a very good teacher’ as I showed her the correct position of her mouth, tongue and lips to get the correct pronunciation of a word.

WHO IS ABIOLA D?
A native English speaker living in London, in the United Kingdom with two year's classroom and one year's online experience in English teaching.
I have a UK university degree, a Diploma in English Teaching (TEFL) and a Certificate in Further Education Teaching.
WHO DO I TEACH AND WHAT TYPES OF ENGLISH DO I TEACH?
I teach adults from intermediate to proficiency level, teaching general everyday English (the family, leisure etc.) business English (telephone and meeting vocabulary etc.) and travel English (tourist vocabulary, scenarios etc.).
HOW DO I TEACH?
I am friendly and very patient, always giving learners a chance to think and find the answer. I give encouragement to increase confidence so that learners improve their skill and ability, as I gently instruct them on the most important errors through written and spoken corrections and explanations.
WHAT MIGHT THE LESSONS INVOLVE?
I teach listening, speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary and writing. I will ask you what things you especially want to learn & improve and produce a syllabus using topics that interest you with worksheets, language quizzes, puzzles, games, videos and audio clips etc.
