About Pierre Olivier
With a passion for music, I have been DJing and organizing parties in Paris for more than 10 years. I would love to show you how this works, from the sound selections to the mixing part. My objective will be to immerse you in the life of a DJ preparing for a party. This will include how a DJ thinks, what a DJ does, how a DJ must project into the future party to be able to prepare it, and what the DJ does when playing in front of the crowd. The experience will take a convivial approach with a lot of discussions and sharing over a beer or a juice, and of course, good music.

We will begin with a short general introduction of the role of a disc jockey and how this has evolved throughout history. Then we will discover the devices a DJ has to create a mix and we will work on a transition, which is the seamless music change from one song to another. After that, two DJ booths will be available—one digital and one with records—for you to make your first transition. We will also share ideas and impressions about the Parisian nightlife, good parties to go to, and more.
