About Drew
I'm an LA-based (18 years) producer who has been doing it professionally for around 15 years. I've had platinum songs in movies, TV and on the radio, and I've been 2x nominated for a Grammy. I love production and I absolutely love helping others learn the production process. I love both the technical side of production and the creative side. I sometimes catch myself trying to teach younger producers and artists in a session and I thought this could be a good outlet for that instinct.

I'm a firm believer that the best way to learn is by doing, so in this class we'll be making music from the start. Music production is about knowing how to use the tools to creatively fulfill a vision.
In this class you will learn to:
- listen to a song or track that you find inspiring and be able to identify the parts that make it great and how it fits together
- recreate sounds you find inspiring basic sound design
- arrange a track so that it flows well and takes the listener on a journey
- basic music theory. We don't need to get too in the weeds but knowing what notes sound good together can drastically speed up the process
- basic audio engineering, recording, eq, compression and mixing
- how to use creative fx
- how to finish a track to a professional level so it can sit next to any other tracks that you stream.
All levels are welcome, but this class would be especially helpful for an intermediate producer that can make a loop but has trouble turning ideas into full songs.
